Cecil County is also home to four golf clubs, two of which are championship 18-hole courses. But individuals who are more interested in the cultural activities in the region may find the small village of Port Deposit, listed on the National Historic Register, or its free music series to be more their speed. Art aficionados will find many galleries in Elkton and Chesapeake City to view local works of art on display.

According to the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation reported that as of 2013 the top employers of the county were Bayside Community Network, Burris Logistics, C&S Wholesale Grocers, Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Cecil Federal Savings Bank and Chesapeake Care Resources.

Cecil County attracts travelers throughout the year as well, given its rich history and stunning landscape. Because of this, there are many job opportunities within the hospitality and travel industry here as well.
